Magnesium

Magnesium plays an important role in the enzyme systems of the body that are involved in energy conversion.

It is found all over the body with around 60% being found in the bones and the rest within the cells and blood. Magnesium is very important with regard to the nerves and heart muscle and is also responsible for maintaining the BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate). Sources of magnesium include green leafy vegetables and nuts, though meat and dairy products are poor sources. Possible deficiency indications can include kidney stones and a general muscle weakness. Magneisum has also been found to be useful in helping against heart palpitations.
