PMS

PMS, or Premenstrual Syndrome, is a very real cluster of symptoms linked to the monthly hormone cycle.

These many symptoms include aggression, anxiety, fainting, migraine, fatigue, bloating, acne, emotional instability and nausea to name just a few. It is estimated that between 40 and 60 percent of menstruating women suffer with it, so it is a very real yet often misunderstood problem.

It is a problem that can worsen over time, with what began as premenstrual starting to surface one or two weeks before menses and then progressing to the stage where the sufferer feels PMS nearly all the time. There is no "cure" for it and there is no way to conduct specific tests to identify it.

The main cause of PMS has been attributed to an imbalance due to too much oestrogen and a deficiency in progesterone, although exercise, stress, the environment and diet also play a big part.

Nutrition and diet can really help or hinder pre menstrual syndrome with trials showing that the right nutrition and supplementation can cause over 60 percent improvement in symptoms.

You can do something about PMS today.
